China’s Diplomacy under the Great Adjustment and Great Change of the World Situation

“Keep a Low Profile” Controversy from the Perspective of National Interests

Sticking to the overall and long-term pursuit of national interests, and adhering to the balance of material and spiritual interests are the core of Deng Xiaoping"s strategy of keeping a low profile in pursuit of national interests, and seeking truth from facts, the essence of what is to keep a low profile strategy. From this perspective, keeping a low profile strategy, the modest, low-key diplomatic style of interpretation is clearly better than "strategic deception", "perfunctory" and "ostrich policy" interpretation and more in line with national interests. And from this perspective, it is also very easy to see that our country not only needs to adhere to the "Low", but also needs to improve "something" in China"s overall diplomacy.
Analysis of the “Security Dilemmas” in China’s Geo-security Environment

“Security Dilemma” is a fundamental concept in international security. It is one of the driving forces of inter-state tensions, rivalries and conflicts. As far as the nature of international society is concerned, “security dilemma” is extremely difficult to be eliminated. In the cours of China’s rise, the “security dilemma” that she is being faced with in its geo-security environment is especially prominent. America, which regards the rise of China as a challenge to its hegemony and even a threat to its security, has now treats her as a major geo-strategic competitor; Japan finds it uneasy to adjust itself to the rise of such a neighbor; China and Russia have mutual demand in establishing a “Strategic Collaborative Partnership”, but geographic proximity serves as a restraint in pushing this relationship forward, and as a result makes the “security dilemma” between the two countries inevitable though in a less visible manner; India’s rise as a military power with nuclear weapons is bound to divert China’s focus and resources and makes her geo-security environment more complicated.
